Delete your Protocol account
Protocol is operated by OCARINA SYSTEMS FZE. This page explains how to request deletion of your Protocol app account and associated data.
If you can sign in to Protocol, use the in-app path:
- Open Protocol.
- Go to Settings > Account and Data.
- Choose Delete account.
- Follow the confirmation steps.
If you cannot access the app, email hello@useprotocol.app from the email address on your Protocol account and ask for account deletion. We may ask you to verify control of that email address before processing the request.
What is deleted
When your account deletion request is completed, Protocol deletes or anonymizes account-linked data that we control, including:
- your Protocol account identity,
- cloud sync records and account-installation links,
- account-linked workout, routine, profile, and preference sync data,
- account-linked support requests,
- account-linked coaching relationship data,
- account-linked Pro entitlement and trial records where retention is not required.
Deleting your account is different from clearing local app data. Clear app data removes data from one device only. Account deletion removes the account and associated server-side account data.
What may be retained
Some limited records may be retained when required for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, payment accounting, tax, chargeback, dispute, or abuse-prevention purposes.
Where we retain data for those purposes, we keep only what is needed and separate it from active product use where practical.
Local device data
Protocol is local-first. If you used Protocol without an account, your training data may exist only on your device and can be removed by using Clear app data from the app settings or by uninstalling the app.
If you delete an account while still signed in, Protocol will also clear local account/session data on that device after the server-side deletion completes.
Timing
Most account deletion requests are processed immediately through the in-app flow. Manual support requests are normally reviewed within 48 hours.
Some retained records may remain for the additional periods required for security, fraud prevention, payment accounting, legal compliance, or dispute handling.
